Andrea Lavery

Andrea Lavery has dreamed of becoming a professional artist since childhood. Growing up in rural Newtown, Connecticut, she was surrounded by nature and spent countless hours exploring the outdoors and capturing it on paper. Supported and encouraged by her family, Andrea pursued her passion and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Paier College of Art in Hamden, Connecticut, in 1985.

After graduation, Andrea worked as an art director, designer, and freelance comp artist for local design and marketing agencies. She later paused her career to focus on raising her family. Rediscovering her love of painting in 2012, she began creating small-format works, allowing her to complete pieces efficiently. Over the years, Andrea has developed a contemporary impressionistic style, using bold brushstrokes and expressive textures to create colorful and engaging artworks.

Her paintings are held in private collections across the United States and internationally, and she has completed numerous commissioned works. Andrea currently lives and paints by the shoreline in Connecticut with her husband of 32 years, Brian, and their two children, Ben and Maggie.
