Children's Classes

Square Pear Gallery's children's art classes offer a fantastic opportunity for young artists aged 8 and up to nurture their creativity and develop their artistic skills. Our small class size (maximum of 4 students) allows for personalized instruction in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Classes focus on drawing and painting and children are encouraged to participate in choosing what they would like to work on. All classes are taught by resident artist and gallery owner, Corien Siepelinga.

Classes are ongoing throughout the year. They are held after school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, as well as on Saturday mornings.

The cost is $140 for a 4-week session. Each session consists of a one-hour class per week for four consecutive weeks; please note that make-up classes are not provided for missed sessions.

Currently, all time slots are full. However Square Pear Gallery offers a waiting list for interested participants. To join the waiting list, please fill out the provided registration form. Square Pear Gallery will contact you when a time slot becomes available.

Parent/guardian waives any claim for liability against Square Pear Fine Art Gallery, and expressly agrees to hold Square Pear Fine Art Gallery harmless and indemnify Gallery for any property or personal injury suffered by any party during the course of, or as a result of the art instruction provided by Gallery, including but not limited to parent/guardian’s minor child/children, whether the result of negligence or other tortious conduct committed by any party including but not limited to Gallery, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This provision will be construed according to the law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

I authorize Square Pear Fine Art Gallery to use photos and videos of my child/myself/the minor child for whom I am a legal guardian for promotional purposes.

All sessions are held at the gallery located at 200 East State Street in Kennett Square.

Classes will follow the Kennett School District for weather cancellations. If school is closed, class will be cancelled that day as well.
