Louise B. Hafesh

Louise Hafesh was born in Liverpool, England, and immigrated to the United States at age 12, settling in New Jersey. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Rowan College, she enjoyed a successful 26-year career in journalism and publishing.

In 2001, following her lifelong passion, Louise began studying oil painting with several leading contemporary artists, including Frank Arcuri, John P. Osborne, and David Leffel, at The Art Students League of New York, the Ridgewood Art Institute, NJ, and the Grand Central Academy of Art, NYC.

Today, she is an award-winning contemporary realist painter and instructor. Louise’s work has been featured in major solo and group exhibitions, including the National Arts Gallery in New York City, Bergen PAC, and the Women Painting Women exhibit. Her paintings are in numerous private collections and foundations and have been published in national and international outlets, including The Artist's Magazine, ARC's International Realism 14th Edition, and on the cover of the Vivaldi CD Venetian Dreams. She has conducted workshops at the Montclair Art Museum, the JCC on the Palisades, and at her studio in Dumont, NJ.
