Victor Mordasov

Victor paints a variety of subjects and portrays not just their exterior, but their character and personality. His focus is to draw people’s attention to the beauty of God’s creation that surrounds us, and he hopes his paintings bring joy to those who see them. In his work, Victor expresses his feelings and shares his God-given creativity for people to enjoy and connect with. His aesthetic sensibilities have always drawn him to the techniques of the Old Masters, and he passes on their methods and practices within the tradition of classical painting. Victor’s paintings invite viewers to see the world from a new perspective, notice moments often overlooked, and remember to pause—to see, think, and dream. These human moments are especially meaningful in today’s world of instant gratification and social media. He is a signature member of The American Artists Professional League (AAPL).

Two of Victor’s paintings represent American art in the U.S. embassies in Côte d’Ivoire. His work has been juried into many national and international exhibitions, including the American Artists Professional League Grand National Exhibitions, the Salmagundi Club Annual Non-Member Painting & Sculpture Exhibitions, and the Annual National Exhibition of the Academic Artists Association.

Victor has also won several awards for his pieces. He received second prize at the 2021 Art Ability Exhibition, second place in Oil at the 47th Annual International Miniature Art Online Exhibition (MASF 2022) for “Life Lesson,” the merit award in Oil at the 72nd Annual Academic Artists Association National Exhibition (2022) for “Time Is Passing By,” and first place in portraiture at the 2022 Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers Society of Washington D.C. (MPSGS) annual exhibition for “Street Musician.” His piece “Winter Visitor” won the Second Prize Award at the SCNY “All About Winter” exhibition (2022/2023), and “Time Is Passing By” won the FWSD 2023 Award at the 16th International ARC Salon.
